Prolific pianist Joshua Kadison began playing and writing songs when he was 12; the influences on his emotional music include
Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart and Gershwin. Kadison left his Hollywood Hills home after his mother died, eventually ending up in Nashville, later to Southern California releasing the huge pop and AC smash singles “Jesse”, “Beautiful In Your Eyes”, “Picture Postcards From L.A.”, after being signed by SBK and issuing Painted Desert Serenade. “Delilah Blue” and “Vanishing America” followed with fine, well-crafted theme-related material.
